Attention Girls and Ladies,
Nature has given females the perfect healthy menstrual cycle;
I want to shout it from the rooftops: We can have the perfect healthy menstrual cycle. It has to be painless, as easy as we pass urine.
It pains me to see and hear that young girls and women have extremely problematic periods. Many women seem to feel they have to accept it as a part of their life.
“Girls and women deserve a healthy, natural menstrual cycle, free from pain, discomfort, and distressing symptoms. A normal menstrual cycle should be a seamless part of life, not a source of suffering. By promoting optimal reproductive health, we can empower women to thrive, unhindered by menstrual-related issues.”
A healthy reproductive system relies on more than just good circulation. While adequate blood flow brings oxygen and removes toxins, sufficient space within the abdominal-pelvic cavity is crucial for the smooth functioning of the uterus and other organs. When positive pressure within these cavities increases, it can disrupt the delicate physiological mechanisms, leading to issues like menstrual pain and reproductive problems. Positive pressure can also disturb blood circulation, reducing blood flow to reproductive organs, increasing pressure on blood vessels, impairing oxygen delivery, and accumulating toxins. A state of ease and optimal spatial relationships between organs is essential for maintaining natural, healthy function”.
Remember that
Nature has not given the reproductive system to suffer or to bear this pain and this problem during menstruation.
In the female reproductive system, Uterus, also called womb, is an inverted pear-shaped muscular organ. It is located between the bladder and the rectum. It functions to nourish and house a fertilized egg until the fetus, or offspring, is ready to be delivered.
If you do suffer every month with heavy bleeding, cramps, bleeding that goes on forever, horrible PMS symptoms like moodiness and cravings, then you need to work on these problems.
A healthy, normal menstrual cycle should be pain-free.
What is a normal, healthy, perfect menstrual cycle?
*Your cycle should last 21-35 days. Anywhere in between is fine as long as it is regular and consistent for you.
*Your blood should be the colour of cranberry juice from start to finish, with no clots. A nice, strong flow that isn’t inconveniently heavy and has you running to the bathroom every hour. *Your period should really start first thing in the morning, without any brown stains leading up to the appearance of that cranberry red.
*It should last 3-6 days, not longer or shorter.
*You should be able to feel your uterus in smooth action with some slight sensations or warm feelings, but there should not be any kind of pain that might have you reaching for drugs or hot water bottles. Even your energy should not be low and no mood swings.
*After your period, leading up to ovulation, you should see the development of cervical fluid, which is an indicator of healthy fertility and necessary for getting pregnant. You might see this in your underwear or when you wipe after using the bathroom.
*If you experience a period that is the opposite of natural healthy menstrual cycle – that is “in-perfect” ?
*During our menstrual period, your muscular uterus contracts to help expel its lining.
One must understand that any contraction has to be smooth. When it’s not, it gives pain, which is a sign of inflammation, and it’s a defence of our body.
Severe contractions may constrict the blood vessels feeding the uterus. Uterus and heart are muscular organs. Hence, the resulting pain can be compared to the chest pain that occurs when blocked blood vessels starve portions of the heart of food and oxygen.
Hardness of musculature and compression of surrounding soft tissues in Pelvis leads to inflammation, and this further triggers the painful uterine muscle contraction. This continuous process makes uterine muscles more and more stiff and leads to fibroids.
Menstrual cramps are painful sensations that affect many girls and women before and during a menstrual period.
The pain ranges from dull and annoying to severe and extreme. Menstrual cramps tend to begin after ovulation when an egg is released from the ovaries and travels down the fallopian tube.
Pain occurs in the lower abdomen and lower back. It usually begins 1 to 2 days before menstruation and lasts from 2 to 4 days.
Pain that is only associated with the process of menstruation.
Menstrual cramps usually refer to a dull, throbbing, cramping pain in the lower abdomen, just above the pelvic bone.
Other symptoms may include:-
pain in the lower back and thighs
headaches
nausea and vomiting
sweating
faintness and dizziness
diarrhoea or loose stools
constipation
bloating or
PCOS, which is very common nowadays .
In some cases, there are no symptoms.
Several underlying medical conditions are also linked to menstrual cramps.
These include:
1 Endometriosis: The tissue that lines the uterus develops outside the uterus.
2) Uterine fibroid – Noncancerous tumours and growths in the wall of the uterus.
3) Adenomyosis: The tissue that lines the uterus grows into the muscular walls of the uterus.
4) Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID): A sexually transmitted infection caused by a bacterium
5) Cervical stenosis: The opening of the cervix is small and limits menstrual flow.
It’s totally achievable. You can even have a better period by just physically working on your body correctively. I’ve seen it happen time and again with the women I’ve worked with . I think every woman deserves the kind of period they can truly brag about.
About the Odor of vagina –
The vagina usually has only a mild odour or sometimes no odour at all.
A “fishy” smell or other strong vaginal odour might mean there’s a problem. Conditions that cause a strong vaginal odour might also cause other vaginal symptoms such as itching, burning, irritation, or discharge.
Do not use scented pads. Instead, make the right physical efforts to keep body secretions healthy.
Do scented pads cause yeast infections?
The answer is that they often do. When your vagina’s pH balance is messed up, it means there is not enough good bacteria in your system. That good bacteria is what keeps bad bacteria from growing too strongly.
Therefore, how we work on our body physically to enhance its physical state and mechanism for healthy secretion of verginal fluid which is the most naturally hygienic is the most important factor which we have been ignoring in today’s lifestyle.
Apart from maintaining hygiene , working appropriately with understanding basic principles in asanas for comfortable periods and healthy secretion of fluid
Ultimately, it is a healthy, feminine body you can achieve with my yogasana program.
Always remember that once you have the right information about how your body really works, what does natural ( सहज अवस्था) mean?
You can start making healthy choices that finally start to work for you!
You can do this. The natural physical laws of your body are on your side! not at all against you to suffer.
We tend to think some women are lucky to have pain-free menstruation. We assume something goes on in that mysterious process that either delivers you with a life of period positivity or a life of hating your period. We think: “Maybe it’s in the genes?” This is not true. Medicines like contraceptives and hormonal pills, which in process lead you to a vicious circle of further problems which you are not aware of. Treating symptoms is not an actual solution. One must know the cause and its effects.
This is where I provide a specific programme for each potential period problem you might be facing at this time whether that be clots, spotting extremely light periods, brown staining, super short cycles, cramps, or PMS etc .
Always remember that once you have the right information about how your body really works naturally, only then can you start making health choices that finally start to work for you! You can do this – the science of your body is on your side!
In day to day routine activities and physical fitness , Fixing the central axis and performing hands and legs skillfully can lead to increased stiffness in the muscular architecture, causing distortions in the musculoskeletal system and affecting organ systems within body cavities. This distorted physical state can disrupt physiological function, ultimately impacting psychological well-being. Recognizing the intricate relationships between physical structure, function, and mental health is essential for addressing the root causes of health-related issues.
Even in exercises, which soreness and pain to bear is the most important factor, it guides you about the state of body condition that differs from person to person . Otherwise, our body’s defensive mechanism keeps adapting accordingly in the wrong manner. This leads to ill health and diseases
In the name of a no pain no gain situation , a person must understand and be aware of the consciousness of the flow movement of muscular architecture, its sequential order, and their relationship with inner organs.
