Our body as a vehicle has four powerful engines – heart, lungs ,liver, and kidneys. Our beautifully designed muscular architecture bares almost 70 per cent structural and inner organ systems physical weight.

Four engines –it is the main mechanical device or the organ gives power to transform fuel into energy that is giving power to function or work.
Two of which are purification of air and transportation of fluid/ blood.
The other two are conversion of food into nutrition and detoxification, and the other is cleansing blood of toxin and balancing fluid as well as eliminating waste .
*Heart*

The heart is like a powerful pump that keeps our body’s engine running!  It works tirelessly, pumping blood throughout our body, supplying oxygen and nutrients to all our cells. It also draws blood back in, creating a continuous flow that keeps everything functioning smoothly. This dual action keeps us alive and energized! 💪
The heart has two main jobs: pumping blood out to the body and drawing blood back in. It’s like a cycle:
– Pumping: The heart pushes oxygen-rich blood out to all parts of the body.
– Drawing: Heart pulls oxygen-depleted blood back in to get refilled with oxygen.

*Pumping:*
The heart has four chambers: right atrium, right ventricle, left atrium, and left ventricle. When the ventricles contract (squeeze), they push blood out of the heart:
– The right ventricle pumps blood to the lungs to get oxygen.
– The left ventricle pumps oxygen-rich blood to the rest of the body.

*Drawing blood:*
When the ventricles relax, the atria contract, filling the ventricles with blood:
– Right atrium draws oxygen-depleted blood from the body.
– Left atrium draws oxygen-rich blood from the lungs.

This cycle of contraction and expansion, relaxation creates a continuous flow, keeping our body’s engine running smoothly!

Our circulatory system is mind-blowing, isn’t it? 😊 It’s like a superhighway network for blood, delivering oxygen and nutrients to every part of our body.
The way arteries, veins, and capillaries work together is like a complex delivery and pickup system:
– Arteries carry oxygen-rich blood away from the heart
– Veins bring oxygen-depleted blood back to the heart
– Capillaries facilitate exchange of oxygen, nutrients, and waste products

This vast network is over 60,000 miles long – that’s crazy! Our circulatory system’s network of arteries, veins, and capillaries is so vast that if stretched end-to-end, it would circle our planet more than twice, covering a staggering 60,000 miles(100,000 kilometers)! 🌎 That’s mind-blowing, isn’t it? 💥The amount of blood vessels in a human adult would circle our planet four times, equaling 100,000 miles, according to Eidson.

Lungs –

The lungs are like two big balloons 📦 located on either side of the chest, protected by the ribcage and in front of the spinal column. They expand and contract to breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide.

Think of the ribcage as a protective cage 🦶 that safeguards the lungs, and the spinal column as a strong backbone 🦴 running down the middle of the back.

When we breathe, the diaphragm (a dome-shaped muscle) moves down, and the ribcage expands, allowing the lungs to fill with air. It’s like a beautiful, intricate dance 💃 between the lungs, ribcage, and diaphragm!

If the lungs were spread out, they’d cover an area roughly the size of a tennis court! 😮 That’s huge! The lungs’ surface area is incredibly vast, allowing for efficient gas exchange and filtration. This massive surface area is thanks to the millions of tiny alveoli, the tiny air sacs where oxygen and carbon dioxide are exchanged.

*Liver*

The liver is indeed a vital organ responsible for converting food into essential nutrients and energy for the body.

In Ayurvedic terminology, the liver is associated with the “Pitta” dosha and is considered a key organ for digestion and metabolism.

Here’s a more precise explanation:

– The liver is the primary organ responsible for metabolizing nutrients from food, converting them into energy, and synthesizing essential biomolecules.
– It plays a central role in the digestion and absorption of nutrients, including carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
– The liver converts these nutrients into vital energy sources, such as glucose, amino acids, and fatty acids, which are then utilized by the body.

In Sanskrit, the liver is referred to as “Yakrit,” and its functions are closely linked to the concept of “Agni” or digestive fire.

So, to put it simply, the liver is the primary organ responsible for converting food into the essential building blocks of the body, making it a vital component of overall health and well-being.

The liver’s role is even more remarkable when you consider that all the blood leaving the stomach and intestines passes through it. This unique position allows the liver to:


– Filter :  toxins, waste, and excess nutrients from the blood
– Metabolize : nutrients, converting them into energy or storing them for later use
– Support: digestion, regulating the absorption and storage of nutrients
– Detoxify: the body, removing harmful substances and toxins

*Nephron Function:*

The kidneys contain millions of tiny units called nephrons, which filter the blood and produce urine. Each nephron consists of:

1. *Glomerulus*: A cluster of capillaries that filter the blood
2. *Renal tubule*: A tube that collects and processes the filtered fluid
3. *Collecting duct*: A tube that collects urine from multiple nephrons and transports it to the bladder

The kidneys filter approximately 1,700 liters of blood daily, removing waste and excess fluids, and regulating the body’s delicate balance of fluids and electrolytes.

Note down :  The kidneys are located below the respiratory diaphragm, with the right kidney situated below the liver and the left kidney below the stomach. Due to gravity and posture, the kidneys are positioned between the T12, L1, and L2 vertebrae and the peritoneal sac, resting on the paraspinal muscle group, quadratus lumborum, and psoas major.

The movement of these muscles is crucial for kidney function, as it allows them to maintain their natural position and function optimally. The kidneys’ location and mobility play a significant role in their ability to filter waste and excess fluids from the body.

The kidneys are located below the respiratory diaphragm, with the right kidney below the liver and the left kidney below the stomach. Both organs are heavy, so kidneys get easily compressed. As we are not extended fully, our chest cavity is sinking on our abdominal pelvic cavity, which brings extra pressure from above and below, causing obstruction to kidneys and other organs in this cavity.

Kidneys  are positioned between T12, L1, and L2 vertebrae and the peritoneal sac. The kidneys sit on the paraspinal muscle group, quadratus lumborum, and psoas major. The movement of these muscles is essential for the working mechanism of the kidneys.

That’s why these organs aren’t functioning at their best or optimal level. Even if they work at 20%, we feel we’re healthy. It takes longer to show up in medical investigations.

Experts warn that even those who lead a virtuous,righteous life can suffer from one as well.

A person who looks healthy could also be living with a blockage in their arteries, which could lead to a cardiac arrest at times.

Truth is, heart disease is extremely common and is the leading cause of deaths worldwide. A cardiac arrest can happen even without a family history of cardiac issues.

The heart as a pump, the blood vessels as a delivery system, and the skeletal muscle as the end user, we must also consider the overall need of the organism to maintain an arterial pressure sufficient to perfuse the brain and other vital organs. This is especially important in humans who are upright and have a large brain located above heart level, which lowers cerebral perfusion pressure. Thus, the autonomic nervous system serves as a regulator of blood pressure and is also critical in the regulation of skeletal muscle blood flow during exercise.

The challenges to venous return and cerebral blood flow associated with the upright posture in humans versus the horizontal position in most quadrupeds.

During exercise, a greater percentage of the total blood flow is diverted to skeletal muscles. During physical activity,in tissues such as the heart and skeletal muscle where the demand for O2 and nutrients and for the removal of waste can increase as much as tenfold.

Even though the body has an autoregulation response. Stiff and hard muscles increase pressure on all these blood vessels as well as lymph and nerves. As consistent pressure on the arterial wall. These arteries lose their elastic property.While diameter of these blood vessels become small, then increased blood flow damages the inner wall of vessels, and to save this damage, our body mechanism reaction is calcified to stop further pressure and becomes hard. This is the defence of the body .

Thinking of wall arteries and loss of elasticity are the main characteristics of a group of diseases called arteriosclerosis.This is inflammation, which is a defensive response of the body to tissue damage.

All body cells must receive a certain amount of oxygenated blood each minute to maintain health and life.

When cells are metabolically active ,as during exercise,they take up even more oxygen from the blood towards periphery i.e towards hands and legs and cellular metabolic need of digestive tract and organs like liver, gallbladder, spleen, Pancreas, kidneys , excretory and reproductive organs are decreased.

Therefore, one must understand that pressure difference within body cavities formed and created by voluntary muscular architecture. How to improve health and function of voluntary muscular architecture, which is under our own will and command and has its own ancient memory.
